Gabby’s Place volunteers preparing food together in Netanya

OUR STORY

From one kitchen
to a home for Am Yisrael.

They keep showing up for us. Gabby’s Place makes sure we keep showing up for them.

HOW IT BEGAN

One Shabbat meal
at a time.

Gabby’s Place did not begin as an organization. It began after October 7, when Gavriella started cooking for reservist families.

When someone serves on the front lines, the whole family carries the weight. Meals became a weekly commitment. As families told us what they needed, the work grew through listening—into urgent equipment for soldiers, practical family support, monthly household packages, holidays, celebrations, and a community of volunteers ready to help.

What began in borrowed kitchens became a model for serving reservist families across Netanya.

WHAT HOLDS IT TOGETHER

Not charity.
Shared responsibility.

Gabby’s Place is what happens when Am Yisrael acts like one family.

There are no givers and takers here. Each of us brings what we have, takes responsibility for one another, and helps care for our shared home.

Families, reservists, volunteers, donors, olim, visitors, and partners do not stand on separate sides of the work. Each person has a place in it.

ביחד ננצח

Together, we will win.

Preparing the first permanent home of Gabby’s Place

NOW, A PERMANENT HOME

First the produce.
Then the boxes.
Now the space.

Since October 8, Gabby’s Place has cooked in borrowed kitchens, organized from wherever we could, and cared for families without a place of our own.

Now, with Tuv Lev hosting our first permanent location, Gabby’s Place is becoming a physical home in Netanya: an industrial kitchen, social hall, synagogue, office, second kitchen, and outdoor spaces where care can keep growing.

This is a home built to nourish, care, gather, and keep showing up for the years ahead.
